The central platform for sustainability Transformation at the UT
Green Hub Twente is the central platform for sustainability transformation at the UT, where actionable knowledge and initiatives across a holistic spectrum of systems change converge and reinforce each other. Founded in August 2020, Green Hub plays an active role in transitions for sustainability at UT, and in the wider region, as a youth-driven networker, and as highly effective organisers, facilitating for a just, equitable and sustainable future.
Whilst Green Hub Twente is a student-driven and staff-supported work environment, its operations also concentrate on academic and administrative staff in the UT. For training and impact, every Student Green Officer develops skills and competencies for systemic change, preparing them for the climate crisis and other interconnected sustainability challenges in the real world. ln this way, they learn to lead on sustainability in professional life, with guidance from the management team, supportive team members, and associated partners and mentors in the growing Green Hub ecosystem.
Green Hub operates based on three pillars: educate, coach, and connect communities both internal and external UT. Green Hub Twente is working actively for the transformative sustainable development of organizations, therefore, all the projects initiated and finalized are in line with at least one of the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
