In our university, challenge based learning and a design thinking approach education is becoming more frequent. Around the world we see nature schools promoting community and self-directed learning to online education and gamifying learning. What will the future of education look like? Do we need teachers? Will disciplines be a thing of the past? Should the goal of higher education be preparation for a job or learning?
The conversation will touch on diverse perspectives on education. We will explore the potential benefits and drawbacks of different educational approaches, as well as the broader societal and ethical implications of them.

David Giron
David Giron is the director of Codam Coding College. Codam is a revolution in education: students learn programming in a tuition-free college, without teachers or prior qualifications, and in a peer-to-peer learning environment.
With his experience as head of studies of Codam's parent school "42" based in Paris since the start in 2013, he is now in charge of bringing this educational model to Amsterdam. He contributed to the creation of this innovative learning environment and its educational contents.
His number one mission during my 10 years of working at Epitech and 42, is supporting students in finding their way into computer science!
Klaasjan Visscher dr.ir.
Associate Professor
Klaasjan Visscher is a teacher, researcher and educational innovator who works on innovation processes in organizations and society. His current research and teaching focuses on transdisciplinary innovation and education and the embedding of new technologies in organizations and society.
Klaasjan won a Comenius teaching fellowship with an educational role-play simulation on the societal embedding of new technologies and a senior fellowship on transdisciplinary and responsible challenge-based education. Klaasjan is head of the Knowledge, Transformation & Society section (KiTeS). Besides, he is scientific co-director of DesignLab and Programme Director of the Transdisciplinary master-insert 'Shaping Responsible Futures', which won the Dutch Higher Education Award . Klaasjan is co-chair of the ComeniusNetwork.

prod.dr. Nelly Litvak
Full Professor
prod.dr. Nelly Litvak is a professor in applied mathematics. Her research is on Complex Networks such as social networks and the World Wide Web. She is an activist of innovative evidence-based education. In her courses she uses interactive videolectures, group work, projects, quizzes, etc.
She won Teacher of the Year 2022 award at the University of Twente. She also wrote books and articles about mathematics for general public, was a keynote speaker at the yearly national conference for high-school mathematics teachers, and co-founded a Facebook group (35K+participants) about mathematics for non-mathematicians.
