Nicky Schuermans and Jasmijn Manders recently obtained their MSc degree in Applied Mathematics after they succesfully finished their final projects at CHOIR.
Nicky Schuermans did her final project in cooperation with the Leiden University Medical Center, where she optimized the schedule for transplant surgeons. Her thesis, titled Automatically scheduling transplant surgeons at the LUMC while evenly distributing surgical experience, can be found here.
Jasmijn Manders worked together with the population screening organization (bevolkingsonderzoek oost) on the optimization of the invitation strategy for colon cancer screening. Her thesis, titled Optimising the invitation strategy for colon cancer screening, can be found here.
