Beginning of this year Marelise Hattingh joined the CHOIR group as a PdEng candidate. She obtained her Masters in Industrial Engineering in 2016 after which she was employed as a systems engineer before joining CHOIR. 
About Marelise and her PdEng: I obtained both my bachelor- and master’s degree (industrial engineering) at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, where I have been living my whole life up to this year. My masters project was based at a psychiatric hospital where I utilised data science to investigate the readmission of patients.
I have just started my first year PdEng project which entails developing a prototype scheduling application which aims to improve the two weekly workforce planning in the orthopaedic department at Sin Maartenskliniek in Nijmegen.
I am happy to be in the Netherlands and looking forward to the projects and courses.
