4TU PhD Impact course (valorization): 21-22 april create impact with your PhD

Do you want to make an impact with your research? Want to learn how to consider a tech-based business? Do you want to expand your network across the Dutch 4TU's?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these, then the 4TU PhD Impact Course is for you!

We face major economic and societal challenges, including a growing world population, climate change, scarcity of raw materials, aging, etc. These problems require smart solutions based on new research-based insights. Therefore, our society requires knowledge and people who know how to apply such knowledge in a creative and entrepreneurial manner.

In this course, you will discover how to create an impact by commercializing academic research. With PhDs from the 4 technical universities in the Netherlands, you work on exploring the commercialization options of a real technology from one of the Dutch technical universities. You learn how to translate research into a value proposition, find potential users/customers for a relevant product, and what it would mean to commercialize the technology in that product configuration. The course brings together PhDs from across fields and technical universities.

Participation in the course is free for UT PhDs, you only have to pay yourself for the travel costs to Utrecht. The preparation is only looking to a few video's.
