Three BSS researchers at the Society for Medical Decision Making conference

At the end of October, Roswita, Lianne and Lian visited the conference of the Society for Medical Decision Making (SMDM) in Philadelphia.

All three of them presented during the various poster sessions. Roswita presented about the shared decision making proces between physician and COPD patients and how this can be improved by for example using technology. Lianne had posters on the demand of personalized presentation of digital health information and what method and display options there are. Lian showed a broad overview of her PhD research focussing on giving a personalized advice for an intervention for cancer-related fatigue after breast cancer. All sessions were well visited and we had many interesting conversations with the various visitors. Also, the other sessions of the conference were inspiring and interesting. We heard of many other ongoing studies.
