Customized courses

In addition to the courses for individual subscribers, most of our programs are customized for our partners . Our tailor-made training programs are developed in co-creation with representatives from the target group, such as hospital departments, professional associations, and industry partners. This collaborative approach integrates the technical and simulation expertise form the TechMed Centre with the specialized medical knowledge of our partners. Co-creation ensures that TechMed Academy’s learning activities align seamlessly with the ongoing learning processes on the workplace floor, providing a holistic and relevant educational experience for healthcare professionals.

Customized courses

Surgery carrousel

Together with the surgery department of Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST), the TechMed Academy designed a three-year program for surgical residents in 2021. The aim of the program was to stimulate technical insights and get first hands-on experience with complex surgical techniques in a safe simulated environment. In this carrousel with various training sessions in a year, skill-stations for bot vascular surgery, trauma surgery and gastro-intestinal surgery are offered.

Intervention course for radiology residents

Radiology residents follow an intervention internship in the first year of their training program. The Maatschap Radiologie Oost-Nederland (MRON) wants to prepare the resdients for this intervention internship. Therefore they approached the TechMed Academy early 2024 to explore the possibilities of an introductory training session.

Cardiac Catheterization

The TechMed Academy was approached by two cardiology residents from Thorax Centrum Twente. They mentioned that cardiology residents start with cardiac catheterizations in the third year of their residency, but that this introduction takes places in the complex clinical environment and directly on patients. They asked if we could co-create a training program to prepare the residents in  a simulated environment for their clinical internship.
