Within the Education Service Centre (OSC) of the BMS faculty there is a vacancy for a junior study adviser for the BSc International Business Administration program and the MSc Business Administration program.
The tasks of the study advisor include informing, advising and guiding students on their study approach, study progress and study method. An important part of the job is answering students' questions by face-to-face meetings, video meetings or by using e-mail. Th meetings and emails with international students will be conducted in English. You will advise students on requests to the Examination Board or CPO s for deviations in the programs You will work as a linking pin between your colleagues from the BSc and MSc program. You also help in setting up information meetings and help during Open Days. In case of personal problems you are the confidential advisor of the student, and you refer to student psychologists and student deans if necessary. Furthermore, you translate signals from students about the study into recommendations to the programme management.
- Preferably you have a completed academic education (MSc. or Drs.)
- You have proven advisory and organisational skills based on some experience in education or related courses.
- In addition, you have very good social and communicative skills for working with students and lecturers.
- You have ample digital knowledge and skills regarding MsOffice (especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
- You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages (C1), both verbally and in writing.
- Furthermore, you have a demonstrable interest for the developments in academic education.
- To perform successfully in his function, you master the following competencies: good stress resistance, a proactive work attitude and management qualities.
This is an employment contract for 24- 32 hours a week for the duration of 1 year with the perspective on a tenured position. Depending on experience, the maximum salary is (scale 9) 4.078,- gross per month for full-time employment. In addition, we offer excellent fringe benefits, including an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
