80th birthday David Reinhoudt

A special anniversary: Prof. Dr. David Reinhoudt’s 80^th birthday was celebrated with a symposium by his former colleagues and PhD students, many of whom found prominent positions in academia.

David Reinhoudt stands among the greatest pioneers in bringing together chemistry and nanotechnology with his SupraMolecular Chemistry & Technology group. He was one of the founders of MESA+ and, as its second director, made it into a renowned and leading institute. Since his retirement, he has remained active in various advising roles.

Even for the youngest generation of researchers, David Reinhoudt is a familiar face as he hands out the price named after him at the yearly MESA+ day.
