Explanation activities

The work on the Hallenweg and De Zul will be carried out in two phases. Phase 1 concerns the Hallenweg beginning from the plateau to the intersection Hallenweg- De Zul. The existing asphalt pavement will be removed. The new foundation of the road can be built and the new asphalt pavement is applied. The activities will start on Monday 5 September for a period of five weeks. The working area phase 1 (shaded purple) is shown in Figure 1:

Figure 1: The working area phase 1 is indicated in purple.

Traffic for the construction of the ITC Langezijde will make use of a temporary entrance. Traffic to the O&O square can arrive from the Drienerlolaan- Boerderijweg- De Zul. The asphalt from the Hallenweg- De Zul intersection will already be removed on 5 September. Access to the O&O square will then remain accessible over rubble tracks.

The intersection Hallenweg-De Zul (phase 2) will be converted into a plateau. This means that the entire construction will be broken up and new paving materials will be applied. The plateau is raised with yellow stones to increase the safety. The activities will start in week 39 for a period of three weeks. Our working area phase 2 (shaded orange) is shown in figure 2.

Traffic towards the O&O square can arrive from Hallenweg. They can use the temporary detour of roadplates near the work area. In this way traffic can pass through the work area and the O&O square is accessible from Hallenweg.
