MSC PROGRAMME IN HUMANITARIAN ENGINEERING RECEIVES POSITIVE DECISION FROM CDHO

The Ministry of OCW and CDHO have positively decided on the macro-efficiency file submitted for the new Master of Science (MSc) programme in Humanitarian Engineering. This is an important milestone in the development of this innovative education programme which combines domains on humanitarian aid, resilience engineering, and sustainable and responsible entrepreneurship. Following this positive decision, the UT can now proceed to apply for accreditation of the new MSc program from the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO).

This new programme is a joint initiative of three faculties: ET, ITC and BMS with the vision of addressing complex societal challenges affecting underserved communities through an inter-disciplinary approach. This approach leverages on strong competencies of the involved faculties towards realizing appropriate technological solutions that will address challenges such as access to clean water and sanitation, affordable and sustainable energy, and disaster response.
