The laser cutter is there for CreaTe and Itech students and costs will be deducted from your Proto account, but feel free to reach out if you are from a different study as we are more than welcome to help you out. Design rules
- Cutting lines must be RGB red hairlines(vector). A Hairline is a line with a thickness of less than 0,11 mm.
- Engraving parts are grey-level lines/parts or bitmaps. Black is the highest engraving power, and white is the least.
- Lines thinner than 0,11mm are considered to be hairlines even if they are not red and will be cut.
- fileformats: cdr, dxf, eps, pdf, ai.
- Send your design by e-mail to A.P.deVries@utwente.nl or to SmartCrew-eemc@utwente.nl
- Mention details like material and thickness. You should also mention the size of at least one item to avoid conversion errors.
- Maximum size 1000x600mm
- The order in which items are cut is back to front. In Coreldraw: the items on the object list are cut from bottom to top. When cutting “nested” objects, the inner objects will be cut first
- Avoid double cutlines!
