The TechMed Event | 6 November 2024 Bridging past and future: five years of MedTech advancements and beyond

Global healthcare has seen remarkable advancements, largely driven by medical technology innovations. Yet, the sector still faces major challenges, such as increased chronic diseases, rising healthcare costs, and a shortage of healthcare workers. Moreover, the current climate crisis adds another risk to public health, underscoring the need for urgent and innovative solutions.

The TechMed Centre at the University of Twente is dedicated to tackling these challenges. With a strong emphasis on sustainable and personalised care, bolstered by technology and collaborations such as with the innovation cluster MedTech Twente, the TechMed Centre has emerged as an international leader over the past five years. We build on lessons from the past and are committed to developing groundbreaking solutions for the future.
