Although rules and procedures for the internship are quite similar for all programs, there are some differences. Therefore, we first have a number of rules common for all programmes and then we discuss some programme specific rules. These rules have been fully revised, based on the latest revision of the Teaching and Examination Rules of the EEMCS bachelor’s and master’s programmes.

General rules
- For all master’s programme in the EEMCS-faculty the study load of the internship is 20EC.
- Before being allowed to start your internship, you should have completed 45EC of your course programme. Programme specific requirements may apply.
- A description of the internship, written by the company should be approved by a permanent scientific staff member of one of the chairs of the master’s programme you are enrolled in.
- The internship should be prepared in consultation with the Mobility Office of the faculty.
Programme specific rules
Differences between the programmes exist regarding the following topics:
- In some programmes the internship is compulsory, while in other programmes it is elective. If it is elective, alternatives to an internship are following courses or carrying out a project in the university.
- In some programmes the core courses should have been completed before starting the internship.
