General and program specific rules

Although rules and procedures for the internship are quite similar for all programs, there are some differences. Therefore, we first have a number of rules common for all programmes and then we discuss some programme specific rules. These rules have been fully revised, based on the latest revision of the Teaching and Examination Rules of the EEMCS bachelor’s and master’s programmes.

Disclaimer

This page is an effort to give a comprehensive overview of the rules regarding the internship. However, we cannot guarantee that everything is complete and correct. In case of doubt, please consult the Education and Examination Regulations (EER) of your programme. They are decisive.

General rules

Programme specific rules

Differences between the programmes exist regarding the following topics:

  1. In some programmes the internship is compulsory, while in other programmes it is elective. If it is elective, alternatives to an internship are following courses or carrying out a project in the university.
  2. In some programmes the core courses should have been completed before starting the internship.
