Award of a Degree
This type of request refers to the decision that a student has met all requirements of the study programme and so can be awarded a degree for it. Students have to make an explicit request for this when they are about to graduate. Information about the application for your degree can be found on the webpage of your study (regarding final project / thesis) or on Canvas.

Cum Laude
The guidelines for Cum Laude are laid down in the EER programme specific appendices. A student who does not meet these conditions might request as Cum Laude award if there are extenuating circumstances. For instance, the guideline for Cum Laude limits the period within which the degree must have been obtained but Cum Laude can still be awarded if there are justifiable reasons such as illness. Such a request must be made before the degree is awarded.

- a detailed study progress overview, and
- a motivation for the request, stating why a cum laude is deserved in spite of the fact that the guideline in question was not met.
Postponement of a Degree
Normally a student receives his or her degree certificate when he or she passes the last unit of study. A student can submit a request at the examination board to postpone the final degree audit and the presentation of the certificate. The request must be made in time before all the requirements for the specific degree have been met (check the meeting schedule of the examination boards).

- a motivation for the request, including the amount of time by which (s)he wants the award to be delayed (max. 12 months)
- a detailed study progress overview
- if applicable: proof of a traineeship
- if applicable: overview of chosen courses you will take elsewhere
Issuance of a Written Statement
The Examination Board EEMCS has mandated the issuance of written statements (certified list of grades) to Student Services. You can request a certified transcript of records at the Student Services desk.
