DACS was well-represented at NWO’s ICT.OPEN this year. Three of our PhD candidates presented posters:

  • Ebrima Jaw on “Deployability, Transparency and Room for Improvement: Reproducing BGP Hijacking Detection Techniques"
  • Syllas Rangel on “The Energy Efficiency of Downlink NOMA Systems with Coordinated Multipoint Joint Transmission"
  • Gustavo Luvizotto on “Understanding Dependencies within Internet Infrastructure Services”

Furthermore, Tina Rezaei presented a demo of her work on federated learning in edge computing.

Next to this, Etienne Khan presented his work on Stranger VPNs in the Security Track

Lynn van der Horst and Syllas Rangel presented their demo showing the benefits of national roaming for coverage, capacity, and energy consumption in Dutch cellular networks which was also presented as a talk in Beyond 6G track. 

Finally, our colleague Suzan Bayhan co-organised the special track for 4TU.NIRICT and co-chaired the track on (Beyond) 6G: enabling a sovereign and sustainable digital society.
