Bank statement for scholarship recipients

Bank statements for scholarship / waiver recipients

If you are a scholarship or waiver recipient our Visa department and Scholarship Office need to review your scholarship letter or confirmation of the waiver in order to determine the amount of tuition fee that needs to be paid and/or the amount that needs to be provided on the bank statement.

Please arrange the following:

  • Upload your scholarship letter or waiver confirmation e-mail via Osiris

    Scholarship letter
Your scholarship award letter must be letter headed and contain: your full name, date of birth, monthly allowance, starting date of the scholarship and ending date of the scholarship. The letter must be officially signed and stamped. Please note that a statement for a loan will not be accepted.

After you have uploaded the scholarship letter, the Visa department will review it and will comment on your scholarship letter via Osiris. They will state which amount you need to pay for (remaining) tuition fees or how much to show on a bank statement, if the scholarship letter does not cover the entire fees and/or living costs.

    - If the scholarship does cover both your tuition fees and living costs you still do need to pay for the visa fees to get through to the next step.
    - If the scholarship does not cover your entire tuition fees and/or living costs you need to arrange for the remaining payment and amount on the bank statement. Also arrange the payment for the visa fee.

    Waiver confirmation e-mail
If the faculty has granted you a waiver, please upload the confirmation e-mail which you received from the faculty. We can then review the confirmation letter and contact the faculty about the waiver.

  • Pay for the visa fee as stated in the e-mail

In most cases a scholarship cannot be used for the payment of the visa fee. You therefore still need to arrange the payment of the visa fee.

  • Pay for the (remaining) tuition fee

    Scholarship letter
When our visa department commented on your scholarship letter and it does not cover all of the tuition fees, please arrange the payment of the remaining amount during the visa process.

    Waiver
If you receive a waiver, please arrange for the payment of the remaining tuition fee

  • Arrange a bank statement

When our visa department commented on your scholarship letter and it does not cover all of the livings costs, please arrange the bank statement as explained on the previous webpage.

Important for scholarship recipients: For the visa procedure you might be temporarily exempted from paying (part of) the fees, which is covered by the scholarship, so that the visa procedure can continue. Please note that this is a temporarily exemption. To finalize your enrolment at the UT you still need to arrange the payment of the (remaining) fees, which you were initially exempted for, before the payment deadline.
To arrange the payment, have a look at our tuition fee webpage at the section "Do you receive a scholarship".
