1. The statement needs to be set up in English or Dutch. Statements in other languages will not be accepted.
Optional: If the bank does not provide the statement in the mentioned language, your sponsor can provide a translated document, translated by an official translator. Then also include the original document as well

2. The statement cannot be set up before the payment of the tuition fee and visa fee is completed. First arrange your payment, then arrange the bank statement at least one day later. When unsure, please wait for the confirmation of the UT that the fees have been received.

3. The bank statement should at least show your sponsor's surname and initials.

4. The bank account should be in your sponsor's name only. If there is a second (or even third) account holder, he/she should make an official statement saying that your sponsor can use the money freely for your studies. The second account holder needs to sign his/her statement. This statement can be set up by the account holder in a separate document.

5. The statement needs to be dated between 15 April and 30 June (September intake) or between 15 September and 30 December (February intake). The bank statement should therefore be dated. Please, still take into account that the statement cannot be set up before the payment of your fees, unless it is from a different account.

6. The statement should show the account number fully. Leaving out numbers is not allowed

7. The bank statement needs to show a balance of at least €15.000,-, after payment of the tuition fee and visa fee. 
Your sponsor is allowed to show a bank statement with other currency, then it should show €15.000 when converted to Euro’s on the date of conversion.
If you are an Exchange student, please use the amount in the accompanying e-mail.
Optional: If the bank of your sponsor does not state this amount of balance, you can use multiple account of different sponsors, as long as each of the additional statements meet all of the requirements on its own.

8. The statement mentions or shows that the account holder can withdraw money freely, without any further notice. Statements which indicate the type of account such as ‘savings’, ‘checking’ or ‘current’ account are sufficient sufficient. Deposits are not.
Optional: If your sponsor cannot show this on the statement, the sponsor needs to add an overview in a separate file of the transactions made from this account for the period of the last 3 months.

9. Contact information of the bank is mentioned (name, address, phone number, e-mail/website).
Optional: When it cannot be shown on the original statement, please add this as a separate document to the bank statement.

Provide a copy of the passport or official ID-card of the sponsor. The ID of the sponsor should be in English and still be valid.

For Indian students: An Adhaar card is also a valid ID.  

Provide the official form from the IND; ‘Financial statement of support’. The form should be filled out and signed by the sponsor.

The sponsor needs to show that he/she supports in a total of at least €15.000 EUR a year, which is €1.250 a month during the first academic year:
-          September till August for the September intake
-          February till January for the February intake
This full period of one year also applies to Premaster students.

Please note: Most forms are filled out incorrectly and need to be adjusted before we can approve it. Please therefore mind the following: 
- The sponsor’s details are mentioned first and next the details of the student.
- Surname is asked first, then the given names
- Filll out the details as given in the passport

The extract may not be older than 3 months at the time of the visa application.

Including the following:
- name and address of the sponsor's employer
- the personal data of the sponsor (at least their name and date of birth)
- the nature of the sponsor’s employment (temporary or indefinite)
- the sponsor’s employment must be valid in the period during which the student is financially sponsored.

Including:
- date of issue may not be older than three months at the time of the application for the visa
- the name and address details employer are listed
- the personal data of the sponsor (initials, last name and date of birth) are listed
- the nature of their employment is indicated
- the amount of income is shown.

Including:
- for the three (3) months preceding the application of the visa
- name and address details of the employer are listed
- personal data (name and date of birth) of the sponsor are listed
- the period in which their salary was paid out is shown
- the net monthly amount is shown

The extract may not be older than three months when applying for the visa.
