Twente for Protest to protest in Enschede city centre on Wednesday

Next Thursday is an important day for education, when the Dutch Parliament will decide on the budget. In recent weeks, there has been negotiation between the political parties in Dutch parliament to (partially) reverse the budget cuts in education.

Twente for Protest, an initiative of UT staff and students, calls for us to collectively make our voices heard against the cuts ahead of this vital moment. Therefore, a protest will be held in Enschede's city centre, in front of the city hall (Langestraat 24), on Wednesday (11 December) from 13:00h onwards. Everyone is welcome to attend and contribute.

The action is also a call to everyone who cares about education to speak up. After all, the effects of the cuts will be widely felt in society.

Similar actions will also be held in other student cities in the coming days.
