As a student at the UT, it is highly recommended to get the Union Card. You get many discounts and special deals around Enschede, including free use of the swimming pool and other sports facilities. You also need it to join any sports or culture association, although this will require an additional yearly fee of 28,50. Make sure to get the card before 16 October to still pay the discounted price of 50 euros.
