UT students receive scholarship certificate during Scholarship Ceremony

On Tuesday 4 October, the Scholarship Ceremony was held at the Grolsch Veste for 35 international master’s students who have received a scholarship funded by UT.

The ceremony was kicked off by the Master of Ceremonies, Prof. Dr. Jennifer Herek, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology (S&T). She explained her own connection to this evening has been as a scholarship recipient herself and described the value of such a unique opportunity: “I am eternally grateful for the trust that was put in me in being selected for a scholarship, as well as the expectation to do well and ultimately, to take on the responsibility to make the most of the education I received.”

Her opening was followed by welcoming words from Prof. Dr. Tanya Bondarouk, Dean of the Faculty of Behavioural, Management & Social Sciences (BMS). Mr. ir. Udaya Aditya Ghantasala, a UT alumnus in Mechanical Engineering, engaged his peers with a presentation about his master’s thesis and experiences at UT. He also shared tips on the best way to find work in the Netherlands after graduating, such as learning the Dutch language, attending the Business Days Twente, or doing an internship.

Scholarship certificates

During the ceremony, the UT scholarship recipients were invited on stage and were presented with an official scholarship certificate by the Deans of the Faculties of BMS, ET, EEMCS, and S&T. UT is proud to welcome these talented students and congratulates them on their achievements. UT also expresses the wish for a fruitful collaboration now and in the future!
