‘Brilliant Failures: Fail & Flourish’
In general, studying is all about performing: Passing exams, meeting deadlines, and being great at teamwork. However, if you know how to do all this, when do you learn?
It is often said that you learn from failure, but is there room to fail and learn in an environment that is so focused on success?
Prof. Dr. Paul Iske is an UT alumnus and Chief Failure Officer at the ‘Institute for Brilliant Failures’. (Brilliant Failures - Institute for Brilliant Failures (briljantemislukkingen.nl) He wants to shift the way we view failure and encourage people to experiment. However, as a professor at the University of Maastricht, he also understands the pressure that students are under.
