GENERAL INFORMATION

BACHELOR STUDENTS

Below you can find information on the Bachelor modules offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Science (EEMCS) that are open for exchange students at Bachelor level. Modules are 15 EC educational units that you need to take as a whole. However, there are some exemptions. In some modules it is possible to substitute the mathematics component belonging to the  module with a different mathematics course (see comments). Please note that for certain modules there are prerequisites. Bachelor modules are open to exchange students on a Bachelor level.

MASTER STUDENTS

For information on available Master courses, please check our course catalogue. Here you can search for courses by participating study ( or e.g. by faculty EEMCS). If the course information is not available for the upcoming academic year, please search under the previous academic year.

For certain courses there are prerequisites, which can be found in the course catalogue. Master courses are open to exchange students on a Master level. In some exceptional cases master courses are open to exchange students in their final Bachelor year with sufficient pre-knowledge.

COURSES AND TIMETABLES

There is a small chance that courses will change slightly, won’t be offered anymore or the current time period will be changed. To minimalize the risk that courses are scheduled on the same day/time:

  • You can check the timetable for the current academic year on rooster.utwente.nl (add timetable, select either the study programme or subject and fill in the course name or course code).
  • Furthermore courses are less likely to coincide in the timetable, when you pick courses within a study programme or specialization.

The faculty of EEMCS does not allow exchange students to take courses given at Universities elsewhere in the Netherlands (4TU) with the exception of the Mastermath courses. Please take into consideration that for the Mastermath courses there might be travel costs and time involved.
