      The University of Melbourne is a public research university located in Melbourne, Australia.       USTC Summer School

      The Future Scientist Exchange Program (FuSEP) is a pack of incoming programs initiated by USTC to bring excellent young scientists worldwide together to exchange ideas for solutions to present world challenges through science and technology. Focusing on Science and Technology toward a Shared Future, the 2024 FuSEP Summer Student Program (4-8 weeks) gathers the best minds in interdisciplinary research at USTC and will lead you through an incredible tour of science and technology without borders.

      University of Eastern Finland is a university in Finland founded in 2010 with campuses in Joensuu and Kuopio. The university offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral level education in 12 fields of study: medicine and pharmacy, humanities, education, economics and business administration, natural sciences, forest sciences, psychology, theology, health sciences, social sciences, law and engineering.

      INSA Lyon is one of France’s largest engineering graduate schools and among the top 10 universities of Science and Technology in Europe. Since its creation in 1957, INSA Lyon has included both international and human and social aspects in the curriculum of its engineers. INSA Lyon is a leader in science education, as well as a pioneer in terms of its policies concerning accessibility and diversity. It graduates over 800 engineers each year in 9 fields of specialization and boasts 200 partner universities, 75% students study abroad, 30% foreign students on the campus and 10 foreign languages taught at INSA Lyon.

      The Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg (also referred to as the University of Würzburg) is a public research university in Würzburg, Germany. Founded in 1402, it is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Germany.

      Budapest University of Technology & Economics (BME) is a public research university located in Budapest, Hungary. It is the most significant university of technology in the country and is considered the world's oldest institute of technology which has university rank and structure. It was founded in 1782.

      Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), also known as University of Budapest, is a Hungarian public research university based in Budapest. Founded in 1635, ELTE is one of the largest and most prestigious public higher education institutions in Hungary.

      Reykjavik University is the largest private university in Iceland with approximately 3000 students. The university consists of seven academic departments in two schools.

      The Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano, abbreviated as Polimi) is the largest technical university in Italy, with about 40,000 students. The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and higher education courses in the fields of engineering, architecture and design.

      The University of Bologna (Italian: Università di Bologna, abbreviated Unibo) is a public research university in Bologna, Italy. Teaching began around 1088, with the university becoming organised as guilds of students by the late 12th century, it is the oldest university in continuous operation in the world, and the first degree-awarding institution of higher learning. With over 90,000 students, the University of Bologna is one of the largest universities in Europe.

      The National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), is a public research university in Mexico. It has several campuses in Mexico City, and many others in various locations across Mexico, as well as a presence in nine countries. UNAM is consistently ranked as the best university in Mexico by most academic rankings, as well as one of the top 10 in Latin America.

      The University of Stavanger (UiS) is a public research university located in Stavanger, Norway. It was established in 2005 when the Stavanger University College received university status.       Chung-Ang University (CAU) is one of the top leading private research universities in Seoul, South Korea. The university operates two campuses: main campus located in Dongjak District, Seoul, and an additional campus in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. CAU consists of 16 undergraduate colleges and 16 graduate schools.

      University Charles III of Madrid (UC3M) is a public university in the Community of Madrid, Spain. Established in 1989, UC3M is an institution with a distinctly international profile. It offers a broad range of master's and bachelor's degree programs in English, and nearly 20% of the student body is made up of international students. It is the first university in Spain and the third in Europe in the number of its students participating in the Erasmus+ student exchange programs.

      Each year Linköping University (LiU) welcomes around one thousand exchange students. LiU has a wide range of courses taught in English, covering various fields of studies. LiU has approximately 32,000 students and is situated 150 km south of Stockholm. The richness of student life at LiU is well-known; it offers unique student traditions, life close to nature, and a broad range of activities, student clubs and societies to get involved in.

      National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is a public research university in Taipei and Hsinchu, Taiwan. It is consistently ranked among the top three or four best universities in Taiwan in world university rankings.

    • Türkiye: Sabancı University

      Sabancı University (SU) is one of the top-ranked research universities located in Istanbul, Türkiye. SU has three faculties: Engineering and Natural Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, and Management. The language of instruction is fully in English. SU welcomes around 100 exchange students each semester from different parts of the world. Exchange students have priorirty on course selection and on-campus accommodation.

Founded in 1796 as the Andersonian Institute, it is Glasgow's second-oldest university, having received its royal charter in 1964 as the first technological university in the UK. Its combined enrolment of 25,000 undergraduate and graduate students ranks it Scotland's third-largest university.

      Washington State University (WSU) is a public land-grant research university in Pullman, Washington, United States. Founded in 1890, WSU is also one of the oldest land-grant universities in the American West. With a total enrolment of 28,000, it is the second largest institution for higher education in Washington state.

    • Crossing Borders (UT minor)

      Crossing Borders | INTERNATIONAL GRAND CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIES FOR TECHNOLOGY, SUSTAINABILITY AND DEVELOPMENT (2*15 EC)

      Crossing Borders is a UT minor that offers students the opportunity to gain international experience by going abroad for a field study/ internship, or by working from the Netherlands with international partners. Students work on a challenge-based project framed around the Sustainable Development Goals. Those who choose the Field Study carry out their own research project abroad, usually at a charity, NGO, foundation, school, company or research institute. 

      Please note: all bachelor students are welcome to join this programme due to its multidisciplinary perspective of sustainability. If you are in doubt please check directly with your study advisor.
