Design Research & Innovation Festival (DRIVE) will showcase different innovation- and research projects and initiatives on stage for an audience of design researchers, design professionals, organisations and companies. In this edition, the university will participate with a presentation about the topic scheduled for the 28th of October: the possibilities of and with Experimental Environments.
DesignLab as an Experimental Environment
Most of us who work at or visit DesignLab regularly agree that there is something almost magical about this place. Even before start working at DesignLab, Dianne found herself pulled in by its atmosphere; the openness of staff and students, as well as the possibilities to be creative had her visiting over and over again. She never really questioned the intention that the founders of the lab had when facilitating a space like DesignLab until she started working here. Through discussions and personal reflections on DesignLab as an experimental environment these intentions have become clear. During the Dutch Design Week and as part of the DRIVE festival Dianne will share this insights and introduce those aspects of DesignLab that have brought in innovation for collaboration in and between the academic and non-academic spheres.
