UT LANGUAGE CENTRE
The UT Language Centre (UTLC) offers all kinds of courses and workshops on English, English for Specific Purposes and English as a Medium of Instruction. More information can be found on the UTLC-website.
FutureLearn and Good Habitz online courses
The UT offers its staff (free) online courses through two course platforms: Good Habitz and FutureLearn. Join one of the free online courses and work on your English!

Do you have to write something in English for work and are you insecure about it? Could you do with some help in the writing process? The Writing Centre offers help to support staff with their writing challenges. Language issues, grammar, structure, finding the right tone: for all these matters you can contact the Writing Centre. Would you like to sit down with a writing tutor and discuss your text in detail? Make an appointment for a 45-minute tutor session.
Available services you can use when you are finishing a document.
You finished your writing, but you are not sure the result is flawless? Then you have the possibility to use the editing service of our translation partners. By getting your product back with track-changes, you can even learn from the feedback you get. Until further notice, this service is covered by a central budget. Please, contact your secretary/language contact person for information how to use this service.
In some circumstances drawing up a document in the English language is not feasible or efficient. Then you can make use of the university’s translation services. The costs for translation are covered by your department and you need to have permission of your manager.
