Introduction
The Space Management project aims to optimize the occupancy and utilization of educational spaces. This is done through information obtained from sensors. This data allows us to respond flexibly to changes in education, such as adjustments in group size or last-minute scheduled educational activities.
Insight and Reservation Ease
Another important aspect of the project is improving the reservation architecture. Thanks to this project, the availability of all spaces on campus will be visible at any time. This allows spaces to be reserved easily, and usually directly by users. This makes us more agile and better able to respond quickly to educational needs.
Pilot in Building Ravelijn & de Horst
The Space Management project will begin with a pilot in Building Ravelijn and the Horst. The experiences and results from this pilot will determine further rollout to other buildings. This further rollout will be taken up by the line organization, on behalf of the CEF program.
Future Expansions
In addition to teaching spaces, other types of spaces at UT, such as workplaces and meeting rooms, are also being considered. By using sensors here as well, we aim to achieve better and more efficient use of space across campus.
