Elective course Weather Impact Analysis

Dr. Janneke Ettema of ITC introduced CBL in her elective course Weather Impact Analysis in spring 2020. Both the student and Janneke were enthusiastic about the results and the effect it had on student learning.

Minor Science to Society

Dr. Kostas Nizamis and dr. Marcel Pieterse introduced Challenge-Based Learning in their minor Science to Society. Students work in multidisciplinary teams on challenges from real (external) parties. Students are introduced to and supported in the CBL way of working on their challenges.

Minor New Technologies Business Development

Dr. Raymond Loohuis works with Challenge Based Learning in his minor New Technologies Business Development. For several years now, Raymond works closely together with external organisations for concrete problems and challenges that students in his minor can work on.

Autumn Challenge

In Autumn 2020, the UT organized the Autumn Challenge. More than 80 students from different countries applied and eventually, 40 were selected to work on different challenges from external organisations.
