Are you the new Faces of Science? note: for Dutch-speaking PhDs!

FACES OF SCIENCE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW PHD'S TO GIVE A SNEAK PEAK IN THEIR LIVES AS A RESEARCHER!

# UPDATE 23-11: we already have two candidates that submitted their nominations to us, where we can only nominate one via BMS. So if you currently work on a submission and did not express your interest yet to Lyan, do so immediately and submit your nomination before 1 Dec (before we communicated 15 Dec).

Twelve new Faces of Science positions can be nominated, PhDs representing different disciplines, universities and study backgrounds. Curious? Look at the Faces of Science via YouTube, Twitter or Instagram.

Faces of Sciences is an online platform where PhDs by means of Blogs, video's and articles give an insight into their lives and research. The target group is mainly secondary school students (VWO-grade) and first-year students, but also VWO teachers, wider public and media. Faces of Science is a joint effort of KNAW, De Jonge Akademie and NEMO Kennislink and financed by Stichting Lira Auteursfonds Reprorecht.

In 2020 Judith Austin (PHT department) was one of the new Faces of Science! Our Faculty have had previous Faces of Science positions with Koen de Koning (CSTM department) and Liza Cornet (PCRS department).

NOTE: all communication is in Dutch, so you need to have a good command of Dutch.

Show your motivation, get in contact!

We can nominate 1 or 2 candidates as faculty, get in contact with Lyan Kamphuis-Blikman to express your interest and your motivation, do this before 1 December! This is the internal deadline, in case we have to choose out of more candidates.
Preferably, work together with your PhD supervision team for the motivation field in the form, and submit a completed (as far as possible) nomination form including CV with the needed info as stated in the form to Lyan.

The submission date for the nomination@KNAW is before 15 January 2022.
