BMS OA fund 2024 - Preliminary checks

Before submitting a publication to a journal, a book chapter or a book and deciding to publish it OA you want to make sure the costs for OA publishing are covered. There are several ways to cover these costs:

From your project budget
Through a deal with 100% discount on APC’s (see UT Journal Browser)
Through your department
By making use of a (partial) refund from the BMS OA fund

You have to answer the following 9 questions and when you are finished press the send button to finalize the request for support on the applicability of the BMS OA Fund. The BMS information specialist will contact you about the possibilities via email as soon as possible.

Important!

Reimbursements are only given for costs made by the University of Twente. It is allowed to opt for reimbursement if the journal only gives an APC discount such as BMC (15%) and MDPI (10%), or if the yearly limit or available vouchers have been depleted for a journal/publisher (this may happen near the end of the year, e.g. for Emerald and Springer).
