Education Overview

On these pages we give more information about our education in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship as well as strategy, marketing and international Management. Via the tabs in the menu on the left you can read more details about our Bachelor, Honours & Minor and Master teaching, as well as the Extracurricular Courses we offer at UT and our Executive Education. Further below we also share links for general information about teaching at UT.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Teaching 

NIKOS offers innovation and entrepreneurship teaching in UT’s (International) Business Administration BSc and MSc programmes. At master level this including a master specialization in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Strategy -which gives access to a double diploma at TUBerlin- , courses on Entrepreneurial Leadership and Technology Entrepreneurship and a premaster course on Global Entrepreneurship and Business.

NIKOS also contributes to innovation and entrepreneurship teaching for the UT bachelor programmes Advanced Technology and Creative Technology. Open for third-year bachelor level students from all educational backgrounds from UT, exchange students and even selected students from (Dutch) Universities of Applied Sciences, is NIKOS’ 30EC minor / exchange package Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business Development. It is also possible to do the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Internship under supervision of NIKOS teachers. For the UT master programmes Interaction Technology, NanoTechnology, Chemical Engineering and ITC’s new master Spatial Engineering, NIKOS offers tailor made innovation and entrepreneurship courses. We also offer a special Innovation and Entrepreneurship minor for Computer Science and Business & IT master students participating in the EIT ICT Labs master school.

Strategy, Marketing and International Business Teaching 

As the department for Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Innovation and International Management and Marketing, NIKOS is also responsible for courses and tracks in the domains of Strategy, Marketing and International Business, predominantly for the (I)BA programmes. We offer bachelor and premaster courses on Strategy and Marketing, and Digital Marketing for Networked Businesses, and contribute to minor programmes on Industry 4.0 and the special international experience minor Crossing Borders (which may include a study tour or internship). At master level, our courses in the Strategic Marketing and Digital Business specialization address topics such as B-B Marketing, Business Development and Advanced Topics in Digital Marketing, and students who want to further specialize can either choose to do a double diploma in Marketing Management with Lappeenranta University of Technology or a joint track with the MSc Communicaton Studies program at UT. Since 2017 UT’s MscBA also offers an International Management specialization coordinated by NIKOS.

Outside the regular curricula, NIKOS offers executive teaching via UT’s Professional Learning and Development and in collaboration with NOVELT and partners like Flanders Business School, as well as a variety of extracurricular activities such as summer schools, MOOCs, a new to be developed Entrepreneurship Honours programme, and an Entrepreneurial Behaviour Course for PhD and PDEng Candidates as well as UT Staff.
