IGS/BMS Research & Organisation Conference

As you all are aware of, the Faculty of BMS is in the process of restructuring its operations and proceedings in the context of the UT 2020 reorganisation, the implementation of the BMS under Steam strategy and the consolidation of its research programs in line with the recently adopted new Standard Evaluation Protocol (SEP) 2015 –2021. In this context we will devote the Research Conference announced to all earlier as a 'save the date' of June 23 to the issue of a Foreward Looking BMS Research Development and Agile BMS Organisation.

In the morning session of this conference we will address the issue of research development, by presenting and discussing the outcomes of the Research Workshops organized this Spring and the next steps in the next 8-10 months to prepare the BMS mid-term Research Review of 2018 and the Road Mapping exercises toward 2020. At this occasion, the Rector will speak about Research and Talent Development under UT2020. In the afternoon, we will address the issue of 'cluster development’ at BMS ‘new style’. Decisions on the cluster structure, management and operations are to be formalised after the summer. June is the right moment to gather input from you all. Just like with the research workshops, we would like to engage in a discussion about models and proceedings of faculty engagement “from the bottom-up”. We are currently preparing the proceedings for some working sessions for the afternoon of June 23rd on how to best implement the UT2020 principles in the context of BMS.

We hope for a broad participation and representation of the faculty community as a whole, and we hope to close a hopefully productive day with a nice reception for all. Click here for more information and registration

Yours Sincerely
