The corona virus has struck: we will unfortunately have to cancel our DSI meetup for which more than 100 people had registered. The session on NLAIC will now take place at the next DSI meetup, 12 May 15:00-17:00 (please save the date). Considering that the deadline for "Groeifonds" proposals has been shifted to 1 May, this is still very timely.
We will inform you soon concerning registration and such.

On 19 March the Dutch AI Coalition will present their investment plan to Mona Keijzer. This plan encompasses a far-reaching investment of (most likely) close to a billion euro in artificial intelligence of which a substantial part will directly affect (applied) research at knowledge institutes.
The DSI meetup of Friday 20 March 15:00-17:00 U Parkhotel will be entirely dedicated to this investment plan, and notably its potential consequences for the University Twente. We cordially invite all (senior researchers : assistant, associate and full professors as well as tenure-track researchers) interested to attend the meetup. More details about the agenda will follow.
As we expect a lot of interest, it is mandatory to register so that we can ensure proper accommodation and catering.
Could you thus therefore register before Tuesday 10 March at office-dsi@utwente.nl. In case you cannot make it, you are welcome to ask a colleague to represent you that day.
