G-Forum conference 2022 Dresden (Germany)

On September 22, Barbara Kump, Associate Professor at the ETM department, gave the Keynote Lecture at the 25th G-Forum, the International Conference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and SMEs in Dresden, Germany. In her talk with the title “Zukunftsthemen der Entrepreneurship-Forschung angesichts von Grand Challenges” („Future topics of entrepreneurship research in the face of grand challenges“), Barbara spoke about climate change as the major threat of our times and the role of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship research in finding solutions to tackle the related challenges. Concretely, she invited the audience to take an ‘inside-out perspective’ and ask themselves: How can entrepreneurs – and entrepreneurship researchers – contribute to the sustainability transition? She proposed several research topics and questions to address by ‘engaged researchers’ in entrepreneurship.

The overarching theme of this year’s G-Forum was “Change in Entrepreneurship – Opportunities and Risks / Structures and Strategies”. It was attended by approximately 300 researchers.
