Exemption from one or more complete educational units

Rules Board of Examiners / OER

Article 7.4 and 8 of the BME OER and Article 10 Rules Board of Examiners

The master programme is determined, with free elective space. The Board of Examiners will hand over the diploma when all requirements are met. Before starting your BME study programme you may have made a start on a different higher education course or have already completed one. If you have already passed certain exams in another programme, you can request exemption for these subjects.

What should you motivate (as much as possible) in your request?

-          Why would you like an exemption?
-          What formal prove do you have you indeed already have done all parts of the BME subject and you master all learning objectives?

Which information do you need to provide?

-          Motivation
-          Course information of the ‘other’ course, including the learning objectives and EC’s
-          A Transcript of Records to prove you have the EC’s but not another diploma
-          A Diploma if the ECs are part of another diploma
-          Course information on the BME course, including the learning objectives and EC’s

We advise you to send your request before submission to the study advisers for feedback. When you have any doubts about your request, please discuss with one of the study advisers before making a request.

Check the meeting schedule of the examination board for the deadline for submitting your request.
