NanoLab

The MESA+ NanoLab is a star player in research in the world-class infrastructure that the MESA+ Institute offers

The MESA+ NanoLab is essential for ground-breaking research. This state-of-the-art NanoLab comprises a 1250 m2 cleanroom (ISO 5 / ISO 7) and an area of 1000 m2 containing specialized analysis equipment as well as dedicated research group labs.

Completely controlled conditions

Research and Analysis on the nanometer scale require extreme specifications, therefore the MESA+ NanoLab building is constructed to meet high standards. The conditions inside the building - such as temperature, humidity and influence of environmental light - are well-controlled. 800 m2 part of the building has a vibration-free floor (VC-G), so influencing effects from the environment, like vibrations and electromagnetic disturbances, are virtually non-existent.

Part of NanoLabNL

The MESA+ NanoLab is an open-access infrastructure for academic research as well as R&D activities and pilot production by companies. The MESA+ NanoLab is part of NanoLabNL, which is the Dutch facility for nanotechnology research. NanoLabNL is maintaining and developing the Dutch national infrastructure in nanotechnology and supports new national collaborations. NanoLabNL has five host institutions (viz. Enschede, Amsterdam, Delft, Eindhoven and Groningen). NanoLabNL is a cluster on the National Roadmap Large Scale Scientific Infrastructure.
