Maurice van Dalen
-Short Biography (Education, Internships, maybe Hobbies….)
In 2010, Maurice finished his study of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente. During his bachelor assignment at the Tissue Regeneration group he investigated embryoid body formation for osteogenic differentiation of mouse embryonic stem cells.
Afterwards, he continued with Biomedical Engineering following the Molecular, Cellular and Tissue Engineering track. He completed his internship in the SNBTS Cellular Therapy Group at the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine and at the University of Edinburgh studying haematopoietic stem cells isolation from human peripheral blood. Maurice concluded his master assignment in 2012 investigating proteoglycan formation in cartilage tissue engineering using amyloid scaffolds in the Nanobiophysics group and the Developmental BioEngineering group.
In January 2013 he joined the Nanobiophysics group where he is currently investigating functional amyloid scaffolds to enhance cartilage extracellular matrix formation in collaboration with the Developmental BioEngineering group.
