Macular degeneration or retinal aging is the most common cause of irreversible visual impairment. The central part of the retina, the macula, is affected. This causes problems with reading and recognizing faces. With the help of our 'eye-on-a-chip'.

Support sustainable space travel

RISE is the newest UT student team! This team has one goal: making rocket technologies more sustainable. The team is working on a reusable biofuel rocket. RISE is also involved in the Clean Space project: cleaning up space debris.

Support talent

The Kipaji Scholarship Fund makes it possible for students from developing countries to come and study here. One of those students is Misgana from Ethiopia. "In my home country there is hardly any access to kidney dialysis, for example, which causes many people to die prematurely.
