Zongkun Pan joins the SEED lab as a PhD student. Zongkun will work on the development of electrochemical and thermochemical models for SOECs/SOFCS. The research will contribute to adress key challenges in the deployment of SOEC/SOFC technology, including costs, durability, and scalability. This work is part of the HyPRO project, which is the largest R&D project in the Netherlands towards flexible, durable, and high-performance Hydrogen Production Technology. Zongkun did his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Master of Machinery at the Xi'an Jiaotong University in China. Zongkun developed and verified a simulation model of a PEMFC to enhance the performance by assembly optimization during his Masters. Zongkun’s expertise in optimization and programming will be a valuable asset to the SEED group. Welcome aboard, Zongkun — we’re thrilled to have you with us!
