Congratulations, Niels!
Yesterday, at the occasion of the opening of the academic year 2020/2021 Niels Mendel was awarded the Master Award for the best master thesis of the faculty of TNW during the last year. Niels had worked on the understanding and optimization of direct energy conversion from falling rain drops into electricity using so-called electric nanogenerators that have already lead to publications in Advanced Materials and Physical Review Letters earlier this year together with Hao Wu who obtained her PhD in March. Congratulations, Niels – and we wish you similar successes with improvements of CO2 fixation, the topic of the PhD project that you recently started.
