July 7, 2020: project on CO2 fixation granted
The university has granted the c-COOL initiative, in which researchers from PCF, ST (Separation Technology), and SPT (Sustainable Process Technology) together with industrial partners will jointly investigate the potential of storing and fixing atmospheric CO2 in clay nanoparticles and subsequently store the chemically bound CO2 in underground storage sites. The project includes fundamental materials research, the development of process technologies, as well as an exploration of the practical and economic feasibility in collaboration with local and global industries.
