At the opening of the Week of Education, it was announced that Leonie Krab-Hüsken, together with Jéré van Lente, Arnoud Onnink, and Linlin Pei (Faculty of Science and Technology, TNW), have been awarded the Brinksma Innovation Grant 2025 for their educational innovation project ReflectBuddy.
ReflectBuddy is an AI-supported tool that helps students improve their reflective writing by offering automated, constructive feedback and prompting them to provide clearer, more concrete examples.
By using AI, the tool allows students to receive more frequent and timely feedback, improving the learning experience. At the same time, it significantly reduces the workload for educators by partially automating the review process. ReflectBuddy strikes a strong balance between didactic quality and smart technological support in education.
The jury praised the project for its clear structure, strong educational foundation, and broad applicability across programmes.
🎉 Congratulations to Leonie and her team on this well-deserved recognition!
