S&T winners at national KHMW awards

At the national KHMW awards, no less than three S&T students have won prizes:

  • Lumen Eek won the Lorentz Prize for theoretical physics, due to his outstanding performance and graduation project of his double programme Applied Physics (UT) and Theoretical Physics (UU).
  • Laurens Spoelstra won the Pfizer Prize for his outstanding work in the master's Biomedical Engineering where he worked on developing and designing a Joint-on-chip multi-organ-on-chip platform to study arthritis.
  • Fieke ten Kate won the 2nd prize at the Shell Graduation Prize for Physics for her outstanding work in the master's AP and her graduation in the ICE research group.

In addition to these fantastic results, three S&T students also won incentive prizes:

  • Lotte Hof won the Incentive Award for Physics and Engineering Physics for her exceptional study results in engineering and science subjects in her first year of study.
  • Diede van der Ham won the Incentive Award for Biomedical Technology. Among other things, Diede stood out for her genuine interest in cell biology and her excellent preparation for practicals. Besides her wonderful grades, she stands out as a helpful, extremely smart student. She has a good overview and is very sociable.
  • Dan Lozovanu won the Incentive Award for Chemical Technology for students with excellent results in the first year of the study programme at a Dutch institution for academic education.

The awards were festively presented on 28 November in Haarlem. We wish the award winners every success in their further development!
