Prof. Jennifer Herek will be the dean of the University of Twente's Faculty of Science & Technology (TNW) for the next four years. The UT Executive Board has extended her appointment for another term. Jennifer Herek has been dean of the faculty since 2019.
Jennifer has been working at the University of Twente since 2006. In that year, she was appointed professor of Optical Sciences. In addition to her professorship, she held various positions, including that of the dean of University College Twente (ATLAS) and the honours programme.
In the coming period, Jennifer will work with her team to further develop the faculty. On the extension of her appointment, she says: "I'm looking forward to further building upon the momentum brewing here, as we make some positive changes in the structure and way of working within the faculty. We're on a good path, for the faculty and the UT as a whole, and I'm excited for what the coming years will bring."
The Executive Board wishes Jennifer every success in the upcoming period and looks forward to the faculty's next steps.
