MCS contributes to new paper on droplet microfluidics in Springer journal "Microfluidics & Nanofluidics" Highly integrated polymeric microliquid flow controller for droplet microfluidics

A new paper by Jaione Etxebarria and co-workers from the University of Basque Country, Vitoria‑Gasteiz, Spain, in a collaboration with Micronit Microfluidics BV and the MCS group,

describes the design and manufacturing of a miniaturized polymeric liquid flow controlling system composed of a pneumatic microvalve and an on-chip microflow sensor. The disposable device is made by hot-embossing of structures in a Cyclic Olefin Polymer (COP) substrate, sealed with a COP membrane, and metallized to give a microfluidic control system. The system has successfully been tested for microfluidic droplet generation.
