Jos Paulusse was awarded a EuroNanoMed3 project named "Nanopheles", aimed at delivery of anti-malarial agents

  • The Nanopheles project entails an innovative approach towards fighting malaria. Instead of treating patients, rather the cause of malaria will be treated, i.e. infected Anopheles malaria mosquitoes. Nanocarriers for the delivery of anti-malarial agents will be developed and evaluated in vitro as well as in vivo in Anopheles malaria mosquitoes. This project will be carried out within a strong international consortium, led by Dr. Xavi Fernandez-Busquets (IBEC - Spain) and further including Prof. Christian Grandfils (University of Liege - Belgium), Dr. Krijn Paaijmans (IS Global - Spain), Dr. Inga Siden-Kiamos (FORTH - Greece), Fatima Nogueira (Universidade Nova de Lisboa - Portugal). We are very much looking forward to a fruitful collaboration. Bijgevoegd zie je ook een logo van EuroNanoMed. (http://www.stw.nl/nl/content/honoreringen-november-2017)
