Hybrid photoacoustic-ultrasound tomography for breast cancer
Globally, breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in women, and we lost 685,000 women in 2020 to the disease. Imaging plays a crucial role in early diagnosis of the disease, but conventional methods have drawbacks. I work in developing a new method which is patient-friendly and has the potential to change the way we do breast imaging.
