PIHC partners

The University of Twente (UT) and hospitals Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST) and Ziekenhuisgroep Twente (ZGT) started the Pioneers in Health Care (PIHC) Innovation Fund in 2014 to reach their mutual goal: faster introduction of innovative technology in clinical practice by bottom-up collaboration between the world of new technology and medical practice. In 2017 PIHC was expanded with Deventer Hospital and University of Applied Sciences Saxion as partners.
Health insurance comapny Menzis contributed to the fund from 2015 until 2018, thereby aiming to improve efficient and high quality care. From 2020-2022, Reggeborgh Medical supported the PIHC fund with 1 voucher.

Saxion University of Applied Sciences
Saxion offers educational programs in the Health care field. The applied research focuses on vitality and self-management. The main objective is to allow people to participate in society, with help of technology.
Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST)
Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST) is one of the largest top clinical training hospitals. Our trauma center has a regional trauma function and MST is chair of one of the eleven national ROAZ.
Ziekenhuisgroep Twente (ZGT)
ZGT is an ambitious and care-related strong general training hospital that offers a broad care package for Twente patients from two distinctive hospital locations (Almelo and Hengelo).
