Membrane rinsing system

The HF Bundle rinsing station (Me-Sep) is designed for the removal of residue solvent after the production of hollow fiber membranes. Bundles of hollow fibers are placed in one of six stainless steel tubes and rinsed with heated water. Flow speeds can be altered for each rinsing tube individually or be turned off entirely to allow for the use of a singular rinsing tube. Available in laboratory ZH279. Drying station

The Fiber and Module Dryer (Me-Sep) is designed for drying hollow fiber bundles or filters. Heated air is passed by and through the membrane to ensure the removal of any residual non-solvent. The air temperature is monitored during multiple steps of the drying process to ensure a stable continuous drying of the fibers. A total of 6 bundles or filters can be dried simultaneously. Centrifuge

The RM Midi potting centrifuge (Me-Sep) is used for centrifugal potting of hollow fiber dialyzer modules. Centrifugal potting ensures homogenous sealing of the filters.  Multiple dialyzer sizes, lab- and commercial scale, can be potted using different sized rotors. Device integrity tester

The HF filter integrity tester (Me-Sep) is a membrane test device capable of performing pressure decay tests on hollow fiber filters of various sizes. The system consists of a vacuum pump, a testing rig to which the filter is attached, and the integrity tester. By wetting the membrane and its pores entirely, then applying pressure from the lumen side, and lastly closing of the air supply, the pressure decay can be measured. Glue mixer

The two-component adhesive dispenser (Me-Sep) is a portable glue gun for precise dispensing of various types of two-component glues. Presets for multiple glues are available but dispense protocols for other types of adhesives can be set. Available in lab ZH279.
