Medical imaging is both a key technology in healthcare and a strong area of innovation in the Netherlands. From early diagnosis to precision therapy and new multimodal techniques, these are all essential elements in the medical developments of tomorrow. But how do we transform ideas and prototypes into clinical and commercial realities? How can businesses, academic institutions, healthcare providers, and government agencies collaborate to strengthen the ecosystem, enabling innovations to be validated, scaled up, and implemented more effectively?
This interactive session explores the journey from simulation to reality. We will reflect on five years of REFIT collaboration between the TechMed Centre and Siemens Healthineers, highlighting a range of inspiring R&D developments from both academia and industry in the field of imaging. The session concludes with an open discussion, inviting both speakers and the audience to explore how we can overcome barriers, accelerate progress, and make a meaningful clinical and economic impact as a Dutch imaging ecosystem.
